Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking Registered Practical Nurses to provide patient-centered nursing care for residents. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans, ensuring compassionate, high-quality service.

As an RPN, you will support seniors across independent, assisted living and memory care settings, collaborating closely with families and colleagues to maintain safety and well-being. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province.
• Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers preferred.
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset.
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.

Responsibilities

• RPNs provide planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care per provincial standards.
• RPNs are part of a multidisciplinary team with ongoing, effective communication.
• RPNs implement and evaluate care plans and adjust as required.

• Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
• Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
• Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long term care an asset
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skillsComputer proficiency and experience with Microsoft office applications
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
