Job summary

Mecka AI in Toronto is seeking a part-time lab-focused researcher to run biology and chemistry protocols, record experiments on video, and maintain meticulous records for AI and robotics datasets.

Ideal candidates hold MSc/PhD studies or recent graduates with wet-lab and robotics skills, and are comfortable working under filming arrangements. On-site attendance in Toronto is required, with up to 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on biology/chemistry and robotics experience.
• Experience recording procedures and maintaining traceability.
• Ability to troubleshoot experiments and improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Run protocols and prepare materials and instruments.
• Record procedures clearly while on video and maintain documentation.
• Maintain traceability of methods, settings, observations and results.
• Keep the lab ready: manage materials, check equipment, reset workspaces.
• Troubleshoot problems and propose approved improvements.
• Advance workflows to improve preparation, execution and documentation.
