The Beer Store in Ottawa is seeking part-time Retail Staff to join our Ontario store. You will be part of Canada’s largest beer retailer, working in a unionized environment that emphasizes service, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year of consecutive retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers daily and process payments.
• Follow health and safety procedures and use PPE.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Role

We currently have vacancies for Part-Time Retail Staff for one of our Ottawa, Ontario stores. We are looking for employees who are energetic, enthusiastic and share our passion and commitment to satisfying our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• In this unionized role, you will be required to serve customers daily and process payment transactions
• You are expected to follow all health and safety procedures and must use all PPE provided
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education

• Completion of High School and/or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have minimum 1 year's consecutive retail experience

Skills

• Must be able to comfortably lift up to 40lbs (over 18kg) for more then 100 ft (30 metres) for continuous periods of time
• Must be able to stand on your feet for 2 or more hours during a shift
• Able to perform basic computer functions
• Must be available to work weekends

Compensation

Wages starting at $18.30 and subject to wage increases based on hours worked according to the terms outlined in the Collective Agreement.
