Job summary

Connective is a dynamic non-profit organization providing innovative programming in the social services sector. This role in Kamloops, BC, offers residential and outreach services to clients with mental health issues or developmental disabilities.

You will assist with daily living activities, life skills, and counselling to improve quality of life while coordinating with the Case Management Team. Position is 16 hours/week in Kamloops; wage starts at $27.54/hour with benefits under the collective

Qualifications

• One (1) year related experience working with clients experiencing mental health issues and/or developmental disabilities.
• Experience with harm reduction approach is an asset.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and life skills development.
• Provide individual and/or group counselling sessions using basic counselling techniques.
• Develop care plans in collaboration with Case Management Team and monitor progress.

Education

Diploma in a related Human/Social Service field
