Consists of Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) who deliver a great customer service experience by demonstrating compassion and empathy towards our residents, family members and team. How YOU make a difference

RPNs are responsible for providing planned, patient-oriented, goal-directed nursing care in accordance with the provincial standards of care.

RPNs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families, and teams through continuous ongoing and effective communication.

RPNs implement and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plans and make changes as required.

RPNs complete and ensure residents’ clinical care assessments, care plans and documentation are accurate, up to date and communicate changes as required.

RPNs teach, delegate and direct unregulated care providers, providing them with coaching & mentorship.

What YOU bring

  • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable province
  • Demonstrated sound clinical knowledge
  • Experience working with seniors and with unregulated care providers preferred
  • Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, community/complex/long-term care an asset
  • Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
  • Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
  • Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
