Job summary

Umbrella Family is seeking an RECE Before and After Educator in Hamilton, Ontario. This permanent, part‑time role involves 27.75 hours per week with a schedule that spans mornings and afternoons, at MountviewCentre.

The wage is $28.90 per hour, within a supportive, team‑oriented early childhood setting that emphasizes child development and family engagement. You will develop and implement programs meeting developmental needs, supervise activities, provide healthy snacks, and ensure children's

Qualifications

• ECE diploma and good standing with the College of ECEs.
• Experience in childcare settings or early years programs.
• Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? and related practices.
• Ability to plan and implement programs for JK/SK and school‑aged children.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Flexible to handle varied responsibilities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Greet children and families with warmth and professionalism.
• Support children's transition from home to program and promote self‑regulation.
• Engage children with meaningful activities using a programming cart of materials.
• Provide morning snacks and ensure hands are washed and food is prepared safely.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor play and support children's interests.
• Monitor behavior and provide guidance to children as needed.
