Pioneer Ridge is seeking a part-time Personal Support Worker to join a dedicated team serving residents in a warm, home-like setting in Thunder Bay, Ontario. You will provide individualized care under professional standards and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized PSW program approved by the Ministry of Long-Term Care; or enrollment in a college/university nursing program.
• Interest and understanding of elderly needs; ability to work with residents and families.
• Commitment to safety and Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care based on each resident’s care plan.
• Encourage participation in activities of daily living.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of resident care plans; participate in care conferences.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the RN and document as required.
• Maintain a safe environment for residents and staff and respond to emergencies.
