Job Description:

Fanshawe College is seeking interested and experienced occupational health and safety professionals to teach part-time in the Fanshawe Continuing Education - Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) program in the School of Public Safety. Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Public Safety, part-time professors are responsible for teaching courses within the OHS program and developing an effective learning environment for students.

Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting September 2, 2025, and ending December 12, 2025. These are remote positions.

General Qualifications:

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Teaching experience with hybrid and/or online delivery preferred
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets

Specific Qualifications:

  • Relevant post-secondary education an asset
  • Master's degree in related field an asset
  • Minimum 5 years of recent and relevant industry experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety an asset
  • Active CRST or CRSP certification with the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals an asset
