Description

Job Summary

This position is Part time, Permanent, Monday to Thursday 3pm-6pm, Friday-Sunday Occasionally. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Assistant/Forklift Operator is responsible for helping maintain functionality and consistency within the brewery space.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Operating a forklift.
  • Loading and unloading skids of raw material and finished product.
  • Skid wrapping and material handling.
  • Working on the packaging line.
  • Assisting with cellar cleanliness, power-washing, equipment cleaning, and other assigned duties.
  • Light outdoor maintenance tasks such as building perimeter checks, sweeping, power blowing, pressure washing, and limited lawn or snow maintenance.
  • Participating in inventory counts.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Previous WHMIS training and forklift experience are assets.
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Openness to receiving continual feedback and direction.

Working Conditions

  • Position may require long periods of standing and walking.
  • Position may require interacting with facility guests.
  • Required to work in a loud, open area.
  • May be required to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and complete tasks that are physically demanding.
  • Predominately inside with occasional periods outdoors.
