Part-time Marketing Manager

Salary Range: $25.00 – $30.00 an hour

Job Status: Part-time

Hours: 30 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 8am CT- 2pm CT, may be flexible depending upon candidate’s schedule and business needs

Office Environment:Hybrid working (majority remote and occasional in-office work, at the discretion of the Associate Director, Marketing and Partnerships and BGS Executive Director)

Location:Candidates in the St. Louis, MO area strongly preferred.Consideration may be given to remote candidates based on qualifications.

Who we are seeking:

Beta Gamma Sigma is seeking a highly motivated self-starter to fill the role of Marketing Manager. In this role, you will report to the Associate Director of Marketing and Partnerships and work closely with our Manager of Programs and Alumni Engagement to help build and execute strategic marketing plans for BGS programs and events. This will include, but is not limited to, email marketing and content creation, copywriting and editing, event market research, form and survey creation, and analysis of content performance. We are a small, tight-knit team that values communication and a free flow of ideas that can help our organization reach out to all BGS members across the globe. The ideal candidate is one who is innovative, self-motivated, and works well with deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute marketing plans for BGS events and programs, including conferences, webinars, alumni events, and virtual networking sessions
  • Create and maintain marketing timelines aligned with program milestones and goals
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all program communications
  • Write and edit event-specific email campaigns using our marketing automation platform, ClickDimensions
  • Develop engaging content tailored to various audiences (students, alumni, faculty, and deans)
  • Create and manage program landing pages, registration forms, and post-event surveys to enhance the member experience
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive attendance and engagement
  • Work with internal teams to create social media and newsletter ads to expand reach
  • Analyze campaign and event metrics such as open rates, click-throughs, and attendance
  • Provide post-event reports with actionable insights and recommendations for future improvements
  • Utilize data to test and optimize campaigns over time
  • Serve as a key liaison between marketing and event planning staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience as an event or content marketer or in a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create engaging content across multiple platforms and mediums
  • Proficient in email design, templating, and content
  • Experience working with website creation/editing tools and software
  • Familiarity with CRM, marketing management and project management software
  • Experience with marketing design software such as Canva or Adobe design products
  • Experience creating content for a diverse, global audience with sensitivity to a variety of cultures
  • Highly collaborative and willing to work across multiple departments and functional areas
  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience working with content creators for marketing and promotion
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM software
  • Experience with ClickDimensions marketing automation software
  • Understanding of current content marketing trends, audience segmentation, and list creation
  • Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, or membership organizations
