Job summary

YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator to support the growth and development of children aged 0-12 within our FSCD-funded program. The role includes implementing learning activities, promoting inclusion, and providing one-to-one support under supervision.

The position requires current Level 3 Child Care certification (or in progress), Standard First Aid & CPR – C, and the ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector check.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and ability to implement curriculum and support inclusion.
• Ability to follow YMCA policies and provincial licensing rules.
• Experience working with FSCD-funded child may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements approved curriculum to promote development in a safe, inclusive setting.
• Facilitates engaging activities and supports positive social interactions.
• Observes and documents child development to support individualized learning.
• Maintains safe environment and communicates with parents daily.
• Completes required administrative tasks and mentors new Educators.
• May assist with personal care needs and mobility support as required.
