Job summary

Kenny U-Pull, a division of American Iron & Metal (AIM), is hiring a part-time Labourer in Peterborough, ON. This role involves dismantling and recycling vehicles, with 16-24 hours per week and weekend availability. You will help with yard organization, vehicle positioning, and material handling within a busy auto-recycling site.

Starting wage is $20/hr with a semi-annual bonus up to 3.75%. Benefits include the AIM Tuition Assistance Program and a boot voucher, plus exclusive employee discounts

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a general labour or similar role.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Position vehicles in the yard according to the site plan.
• Maintain neat, safe vehicle rows accessible to customers.
• Walk the yard to collect debris, tools and parts from the ground.
• Remove and inspect used tires from vehicles in the yard.
• Safely remove tires from rims using hand tools or machinery.
• Inspect, sort and separate rims for resale or scrap recycling.
• Stack, organize and store rims and tires in designated areas.

Job Description

This is a part time position that requires 16-24 hours/week and availability to work on weekends.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Peterborough, ON. As aLabourer, you will play a vital role in our daily operations by assisting in the dismantling and recycling process of vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automobiles, enjoy hands-on work.

What you're responsible for:

• Setting vehicles in the yard each morning according to the site plan
• Keeping vehicle rows neat, safe, and accessible for customers
• Regularly walking the yard to pick up loose debris, tools, and parts from the ground
• Removing and inspecting used tires from vehicles in the yard
• Safely removing tires from rims using hand tools or machinery
• Inspecting, sorting, and separating rims for resale or scrap recycling
• Stacking, organizing, and storing rims and tires in designated areas
