Job Description

The Pet Valu family of stores includes Pet Valu, Paulmac's Pet Food, Bosley's, Tisol and Total Pet, making us one of the largest retail operations in North America dedicated to providing families with food and supplies for dogs, cats, companion birds, wild birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals.

All our stores are committed to helping local pets in need. We partner with local shelters, rescues, charities for adoption events, in-store adoptions (select stores), pet food bank programs, and support through national donation drives and fundraising campaigns.

What You Do
  • Cashier and customer sales
  • Preparing merchandise orders, banking, and miscellaneous paperwork
  • Stocking small items (under 10 lbs.) like pet supplies and household items
  • Store maintenance such as sweeping and dusting
  • Unloading deliveries of pet food and supplies (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Opening and closing the store following procedures
  • Assigning daily goals and tasks when managers are absent
  • Other duties as required
What You Bring
  • At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Outgoing, friendly personality with strong customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation; a valid driver’s license may be required
