Job summary

Well.ca Inc. is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join our Calgary distribution center. You will help maintain accurate stock levels, conduct audits, and support assorted warehouse projects with the Inventory Control Team Lead.

The role requires warehouse experience, strong Excel/Office skills, and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a stable schedule and benefits as part of a growing team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of demonstrable experience working in a warehouse.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
• Motivated, hard-working, and passionate.
• Excellent time management and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Onsite, in the warehouse
• Maintain inventory stock numbers for overstock products.
• Correct inventory counts as problems arise.
• Perform regular audits and reconciliations on inventory.
• Investigate and resolve quality control issues by monitoring emails and reporting to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Meet ongoing standards of Well.ca’s key metric indicators and performance metrics.
• Report discrepancies including damages or unsafe conditions to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Ensure up-to-date expiry checks are performed per Well.ca rules
• Make recommendations for department improvements to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Assist with warehouse projects including inventory moves and location changes
• Operate material handling equipment (Reach Truck, OPR, Power Jack)
• Other duties as required.

The Inventory Control Specialist will work under the direction of the Inventory Control Team Lead and will be responsible for Special Warehouse Projects and other inventory maintenance tasks as outlined below. Associates in this role are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory in the Well.ca distribution center, as well as for reporting any discrepancies, damages, or otherwise problematic occurrences with product in a timely and effective manner.

This job posting is intended to fill the current existing vacancy of Inventory Control Specialist in Well.ca’s Calgary Inventory department. The start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain inventory stock numbers on the selves on all overstock products.
• Accountable for correcting inventory counts of products as problems arise.
• Perform regular audits and reconciliations on existing inventory.
• Investigate and resolve any quality control issues by monitoring emails and reporting back to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Perform to the ongoing standards of Well.ca ’s key metric indicators and performance metrics.
• Report any, and all discrepancies, including damages, unsafe/unsanitary conditions to the Inventory Control Team Lead immediately.
• Ensure that up to date expiry checks are being performed and fall within the Well.ca rules and restriction guidelines.
• Make ongoing recommendations for department improvement to the Inventory Control Team Lead
• Assist with all other warehouse projects, including but not limited to, inventory product moves, adding and removing locations and warehouse reorganization.
• Operation of material handling equipment: Reach Truck, OPR (Order Picker), Power Jack,
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Thorough knowledge Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Teams, Excel
• Candidate must be motivated, hard-working, and passionate.
• 2 years of demonstrable experience working in a warehouse
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task
• A strong work ethic and the ability to perform in a team-oriented, fast-paced atmosphere is required.
• Analytical, Detail oriented and the drive to initiate change is a must.
• Candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Reach truck and material handling equipment experience would be considered an asset

Working Environment:

This position is in a warehouse environment and requires extended periods of walking and standing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
