Job summary

North York General is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients in the Health Disciplines unit. You will assess physical and cognitive function, develop treatment plans, and coordinate discharge planning with the inter-professional team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program.
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
• Minimum of 3 years in inpatient OT or acute care setting; bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, cognitive, psychosocial and environmental status to identify needs.
• Develop and implement OT treatment plans with patient and family involvement.
• Coordinate discharge planning with inter-professional team and community resources.
• Educate patients and families; supervise Rehab Assistants and students.
• Document patient health records and participate in quality initiatives.
