Job summary

Elephant & Castle in Toronto is hiring a Host/Hostess to create a warm, welcoming experience for every guest. You’ll be the first point of contact, greeting guests, managing reservations and waitlists, and coordinating with the serving team to ensure smooth seating.

This position offers competitive pay with a pay range of $17.60 per hour, flexible scheduling, dining discount, and growth opportunities within Recipe Unlimited’s family of brands.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically, making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently, ensuring timely seating for guests while optimizing table turnover.
• Answer phones, assist with inquiries, and take reservations while providing information about the restaurant.
• Collaborate with the serving team to ensure smooth seating transitions and guest satisfaction.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.
• Engage with guests while they wait, ensuring they feel attended to and informed of wait times.
• Assist in managing guest flow and communicating table status to the rest of the team.
