Job summary

Oxford Learning Clarkson is seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for after‑school and evening hours at our Clarkson Mississauga learning centre. You will teach Math and Science to small groups, both online and in person, following our proprietary methodologies.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree and ideally teaching certification. The role requires commuting to Mississauga, with relocation not provided. Evening availability and Saturday mornings are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field; teaching certification is an asset.
• Experience teaching/tutoring Grades 9–12 math and science.
• Strong English communication skills; ability to work with up to three students simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Part‑Time High School Science & Math Teacher / Tutor

Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Overview

Oxford Learning Mississauga Clarkson is currently seeking part‑time teacher‑tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers and equations, and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Teacher‑tutors do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All Teacher‑Tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm – 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (10:00 am – 12:00 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year 26/27 is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Reliable attendance is a must.

This role is in‑person and requires commuting to the Clarkson Mississauga location. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field; fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered; teaching certification is an asset; good knowledge of the current Grades 9–12 math and science curriculum.
• Experience: Some experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9–12 level; strong English written and oral communication skills; strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding; ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
