Oxford Learning North York Willowdale is seeking a friendly, reliable French and English teacher/tutor to work in-person with up to three students after-school. You will deliver bilingual instruction using our proven methods, and you won't need to plan lessons as curriculums are provided.

The role focuses on helping students build language skills and study strategies in a small-group setting. We welcome part-time candidates with strong French and English, a commitment through the 2026-2027

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 French curriculum.

Are you a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker? Join the team at Oxford Learning North York Willowdaleas a part-time French and English teacher/tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français et anglais!

We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. We have a lot of fun! Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher.We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan. Our teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding.

Position Requirements

• Availability during after-school and evening hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm) as well as some Saturdays (9:00 am - 1:00 pm)
• Available for a minimum of 2 evenings/week
• Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English
• Commitmentthrough tothe end of the 2026-2027 school year (June 30th), with thepossibility ofcontinuing through the summer
• In-person instruction
• Ability to commute to the designated location - relocation packages are not available
• Mandatory vulnerable sector screening

Education

Experience

• Some experience teaching/tutoring French at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details)

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Teaching in-person
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Filling in post-lesson notes
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
