Job summary

Oxford Learning Don Mills is seeking a friendly, reliable French teacher/tutor for a part-time, in-person role. You will work with up to three students at a time, guiding them through the provided curriculum and lessons in a small group setting.

You will teach both online and in-person, following Oxford Learning methodologies, and provide post-lesson notes and daily updates. A strong French/English background and commitment to after-school hours are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum

French Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Are you a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic French speaker? Join the team at Oxford Learning Don Millsas a part-time French teacher/tutor/coach. Ignite your passion for helping students succeed – en français!

We teach students HOW to learn French. We help students improve their academic and study skills in a small group setting. We have a lot of fun! Our class sizes are small with a maximum of three students per teacher.We provide all of the curriculum and lessons. Teachers do not need to lesson plan.Our teachers explain and guide students through the provided material and help students talk about their understanding.

Position Requirements

All Tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours(3:00pm - 8:00pm)as well as some Saturdays (9:00am - 1:00pm). A commitment until the end of theschool yearis preferred.Continuing through the summer is even better.Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. Candidates must possess a strong background in spoken and written French and English and be comfortable teaching up to a Grade 9 level, but up to Grade 12 is preferred. The candidate is required to instruct class sessions in French.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Schedule:

• Evenings, Monday to Thursday (3 pm - 8 pm)
  • Availability must be within these times but can be flexible within these hours
