Job summary

Winnipeg Football Club is hiring for Stadium Operations. This hourly role supports event set‑ups, tear downs and field of play to deliver an outstanding stadium experience. You will work with seasonal staff, operate equipment, and perform grounds maintenance as events occur.

Responsibilities

  • Execute event preparation, room and stadium set ups, tear downs and field of play tasks.
  • Perform snow clearing and summer grounds maintenance with safe operation of lawn equipment.
  • Coordinate with seasonal, hourly staff and provide clear direction.
  • Operate forklifts, loaders and other equipment to complete tasks.
  • Assist with equipment upkeep, maintenance and training.
  • Handle additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Job description

Are you energetic and ready to be a part of a winning team? As a member of the Stadium Operations team, you will be part of delivering an amazing fan experience by playing a key role in assisting with event set‑ups, tear downs and field of play to provide the best stadium experience for all events.

This role requires a highly accountable individuals to execute task delivery on schedule. You are required to work efficiently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced time sensitive environment.

Winnipeg Football Club is offering hourly positions from 8 to 40 hours a week where the hours are based around event activities, business needs and events at the stadium. Events are primarily evenings, holidays, and weekends.

What you will do:
  • Execute event preparation, room and stadium set ups, tear downs, conversions, field painting and field of play
  • Execute snow clearing and summer grounds maintenance. Grounds maintenance includes weeding, cutting, mowing and utilizing lawn equipment in a safe manner
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills by providing direction and coordination of seasonal, hourly staff
  • Operate forklifts, loader and other equipment to successfully execute tasks
  • Assist with equipment upkeep, maintenance and training
  • Other tasks and projects as assigned
  • Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evenings, overnights, weekends, and some holidays based on event schedules
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and work within tight timelines
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and have a positive attitude
  • A strong work ethic, an eye for detail and able to work flexibly in terms of responsibilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 30lbs and be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Must be able to climb ladders, carry, walk, sit, push, pull and move continuously while working in all types of weather conditions
  • Experience with operating and maintaining equipment with small engines preferred
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic and willing to learn new skills
