Job summary

The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority (SLFNHA) is hiring an Aide – Environmental Services (Housekeeping) in Sioux Lookout, Ontario. You will maintain cleanliness across hostel locations, cleaning rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to a high standard.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Reporting to the Supervisor – Client Services, you will support infection control and guest comfort while adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Preference given to Persons of First Nations ancestry.
• Ability to communicate in one of the First Nations dialects is an asset.
• Written and oral communication skills suitable for the role.
• Experience in housekeeping, preferably in health services, is an asset.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
• Make beds with fresh linens and replace linens as required.
• Empty trash and replace liners in rooms and lobbies.
• Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Disinfect toilets, sinks, showers, and floors; clean mirrors and walls.
• Vacuum or mop floors in guest areas and corridors.
• Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the facility.
• Replenish guest amenities as needed.
