Keewatin-Patricia District School Board (KPDSB) is seeking an Education Assistant for Valleyview Public School on a part-time (.50 fte) basis, starting November 6, 2026. The role supports students in a special program, plans activities, and maintains records under the direction of the school Principal and teacher.

Required are an Ontario High School Diploma or equivalent and a relevant diploma (Teacher Aide, DSW, CYC, Early Childhood, or equivalent).

Competenze

• Ontario High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diploma in Teacher Aide Program, Child Care Worker Program, Developmental Services Worker Program, Children's Services Program, or Early Childhood Education Program.
• Ontario Teacher Certification or an equivalent diploma/certificate approved by the Board.
• BMS training is preferred.

Mansioni

• Assist designated students with activities of a special program.
• Plan and prepare materials and activities, observe and record data.
• Provide care and assistance, including medically necessary interventions when needed.
• Work under the direction of the Principal and classroom teacher.
