  • Contribute to team meetings and active member of support team.

Position

Permanent Part‑Time Direct Care Professional – O’Brien House (Accommodation Program) – Empower Simcoe, Simcoe County.

Compensation
  • Work up to 55 hours biweekly
  • Starting rate $25.16 per hour
  • 11 paid statutory holidays
  • Employer paid Employee Assistance Program (confidential)

Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine medication dispensing and maintain accurate records
  • Provide highest level of personal care and support individuals’ comfort
  • Follow individual support plans and maintain respectful contact
  • Liaise with other care professionals regarding individuals’ needs
  • Make and change beds, tidy rooms, light cleaning, prepare and serve meals and drinks as required
  • Active member of support team; contribute to team meetings
Minimum Requirements
  • Certificate from an accredited facility in elder care, health care or social services
  • Previous experience working with independent elder population; geriatric experience is an asset
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office; database experience required
  • Current clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening; valid Class G driver’s license and reliable transportation required
