PART-TIME DIETARY AIDE – 3 Positions

Nutrition and Food Services

Job Duties
  • Position available immediately
  • 4.0 hour and 7.5 hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holiday rotation
  • Serving on the meal tray line
  • Operating dishwashing equipment
  • Portioning food
  • Delivering food carts to the wards and returning them to the dishwashing area
  • Manual pot washing
  • Performing cafeteria, vending and catering duties
  • Setting up menu cards
  • Other related duties, as requested
Job Qualifications
  • Must provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (chicken pox), and 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Must provide documentation of Tuberculosis skin testing within the previous 12 months
  • Food Handlers Certificate required prior to commencement of employment
  • Previous experience working in a Nutrition and Food Services setting preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nutrition and safe food handling guidelines
  • Ability to work in a team environment to ensure efficiency and hospital standards are maintained
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-directed with demonstrated initiative
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Basic computer skills in a Windows environment, including Outlook and Word
  • Understanding and use of good body mechanics
  • Ability to lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 16 kg
