Job summary

PGW Auto Glass is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Delivery Driver in Ontario. You will operate a company vehicle to deliver products to customers, load the truck, verify paperwork, and collect signatures and payments. You may pick up vendor orders and returns, and COD payments when required.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, and up to 75 lbs occasionally, with adherence to DOT procedures and company policies. Prior delivery experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Able to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Operates a company vehicle to deliver products to customers.

Responsibilities

• Drives a company vehicle to deliver products to customers.
• Loads the truck and verifies the manifest and paperwork.
• Delivers to customers, confirms orders, unloads and collects signatures and payments.
• Picks up buy-out purchase orders from vendors and returns parts as needed.
• Collects COD payments, as necessary.
• Keeps products safe and damages minimal; follows company policies.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a part of our growth, PGW Auto Glass, a leader in the Auto Glass industry with over 100 years’ experience, is looking for a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Delivery Driver. PGW has over 100 warehouses throughout the United States and Canada. The Delivery Driver must have an excellent driving record. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for operating a Company vehicle to deliver product to customers.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.

• Drives a Company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and responsible manner.
• Physically loads Company truck at the branch and verifies the condition of the truck, the manifest and other paperwork associated with the deliveries to be made.
• Drives to the delivery destination, confirms order with customer, unloads and verifies product, obtains confirmation signature and payment from customer.
• Makes proper notations on the manifest and provides receipts on parts being returned from customers to the branch.
• Picks up buy out purchase orders from vendors on vendor "fill in" purchase orders and delivers parts back to the branch or customer.
• Collects COD payments, as necessary.
• Works in such a manner as to prevent shortages and damage to products.
• Complies with established Company policies and procedures.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.

Drivers over 10,001 lbs.

Subject to DOT Procedures - driver logs, unexpired medical card, etc.
