Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Milton, Ontario. You will take orders from request to reality and move and track inbound, outbound, and stored products while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires lifting up to 60 lbs, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Prior warehouse experience and forklift certification are valued, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and apply basic math skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; reliable and punctual.
• Basic computer knowledge; willingness to learn on-site software.
• Certification to operate powered equipment such as forklift is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Select products according to customer orders and delivery sequence.
• Consolidate merchandise and transfer to stock locations.
• Direct excess inventory to storage or dry room as needed.
• Ensure sufficient quantities to meet routine or special demands.
• Maintain orderly workstation and assist with safety in the warehouse.
• Verify product location and monitor stock levels; assist with transfers.
• Handle larger units and prepare items for pick areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Purpose: As a member of our Warehouse team you will take orders from request to reality, in an environment where you'll feel and create a culture of safety and family. You will safely move and track all inbound, outbound and stored products within the warehouse. This includes performing a number of tasks such as: offloading, stocking, selecting and replenishing products to ensure the warehouse is providing Core-Mark customers with exceptional service and quality.

Position Responsibilities:

• Selecting product in accordance with customer orders and delivery sequence.
• Consolidating merchandise into product containers and transferring to assigned stock locations.
• Directing extraneous inventory to storage area or dry room as applicable.
• Ensuring sufficient quantities of product to accommodate routine and/or special demands.
• Maintaining orderly work station; returns supplies and merchandise to assigned locations.
• Contributing to the safety and security and of the warehouse environment.
• Verifying and scanning proper location of products.
• Monitoring existing stock and transferring items where needed, dependent on circumstances.
• Separating larger units into pick quantities and shelving properly in pick areas.
• Performing other tasks and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and/or 1-3 years of related experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and apply general math skills
• Ability to work reliably from verbal and written instructions.
• Intermediate computer knowledge and ability to learn/use computer programs on the job.
• Ability to obtain certifications for use of powered equipment; such as forklift operation.
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.
• Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
• Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
• May require the ability to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.
