Rocky View Schools invites applications for a temporary part-time Child Development Advisor at Ecole Edwards Elementary School in Airdrie, starting immediately until October 23, 2026. The CDA assists staff and students within an inclusive framework, developing programs and coordinating services.

A social work credential and 1–3 years in inclusive education are assets. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and external agencies, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting individuals

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in social work, psychology, child and youth care, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field is an asset.
• 1–3 years supporting youth in an inclusive education setting is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and/or implements appropriate programming for a welcoming, respectful, caring, and safe learning environment.
• Assists in development and reassessment of programs to influence behavioural change and social skills.
• Conducts observations and develops student behaviour plans with staff.
• Collects data for program planning and supports individual or groups of students.
• Liaises between school staff, families, and outside agencies to support students.
