The Member Service Representative provides exceptional customer service in all interactions—whether at the front counter or via phone/email. They identify opportunities to assist Members with banking solutions and refer them to appropriate specialists to help achieve their financial goals. They also ensure adherence to operational procedures to safeguard assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create an exceptional Member experience through relationship development, communication, and timely responses, increasing satisfaction.
  2. Handle member transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and transfers; assist with ATM, MasterCard, and Debit Card inquiries and applications.
  3. Promote credit union products and services, including investments and loans, and refer to specialists when needed.
  4. Balance daily cash and assist with ATM loading and balancing.
  5. Prepare and audit reports, manage investment renewals, and handle internal accounting tasks.
  6. Identify opportunities to promote credit card applications and conduct regular care calls.
  7. Open accounts as needed, resolve member concerns, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  8. Support a culture of innovation by improving efficiency and adhering to procedures, ensuring branch audit standards are met.
  9. Develop community relationships and attract new Members by participating in local events and establishing community contacts.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Post-Secondary education preferred)
  • At least 2 years of experience assisting Members in a bank or credit union (asset)
  • Previous sales experience (asset)

Hourly Wage Range: $22.51 - $25.77
Wage depends on skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
