Job summary

Dollar Tree is hiring an Assistant Store Manager in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. This part-time role supports store operations, customer service, and team development. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and transferring from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked, and organized store environment.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Responsible for cleanliness of restrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
