We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, helping fans find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and provide leadership support on the sales floor when needed, especially when your Manager is unavailable.
- Handle opening and closing procedures for the store as assigned.
- Operate the register, process sales transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote additional benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Also, communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising mix.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Support the organization of stockroom and store cleanliness.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a desire to mentor others.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when handling merchandise.
