We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to assist in training new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits. Demonstrate product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for fandom.
- Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, ensuring security and readiness.
- Operate the register, process sales, and promote additional benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup, while managing cash register procedures and communicating shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
- Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising strategies.
- Communicate fashion and music trends to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
- Help maintain organized stock rooms and a tidy store environment.
- Support the development of a passionate and collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, along with a drive to develop team members.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
