We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key contributor to our success by supporting the store leadership team in delivering an exceptional customer experience and ensuring fans can access their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.
What You'll Do
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, utilizing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step into leadership roles when needed, covering the sales floor and supporting the management team.
- Handle store opening and closing procedures as required.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote additional sales through options like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Maintain organized stock rooms and keep the store tidy.
- Contribute to building a collaborative and passionate team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
What You'll Need
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
