We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets.
What You'll Do
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience that encourages customers to return, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and provide leadership support on the sales floor when needed, especially when your Manager is unavailable.
- Open and close the store as required, demonstrating trustworthiness and responsibility.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom knowledge to promote additional sales, including BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry, maintaining store security.
- Support store maintenance by organizing the stockroom and keeping the store tidy.
- Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team to effectively run your store.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
What You'll Need
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
