We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages repeat visits. Impress customers with your product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture.
- Step in and support the team as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting leadership when required.
- Take responsibility for opening and closing the store, ensuring security and readiness.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share insights on fashion and music trends with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of spells and wizardry, maintaining a secure environment.
- Support the upkeep of the stock room and store cleanliness.
- Help build a collaborative, passionate team to operate the store effectively.
- Perform any additional activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
