We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.

What You'll Do

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty through product knowledge and excellent service.
• Step up to support store operations, including covering the sales floor and assisting leadership when needed.
• Open and close the store as required, managing store keys responsibly.
• Operate the register, process sales, and promote add-on sales using store benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup, while communicating shortages or overages to management.
• Understand sales plans, goals, and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Ensure store security by preventing theft and misuse of store resources.
• Maintain organized stock rooms and keep the store tidy.
• Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.

What You'll Need

• At least 1 year of retail experience, with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop others.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.
