We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty, utilizing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Support store leadership by stepping in when needed, covering sales floor duties, and providing leadership support.
- Assist with opening and closing the store as required, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Operate the register, process sales transactions, and promote additional sales through benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Maintain organized stockrooms and a tidy store environment.
- Contribute to developing and retaining a passionate, collaborative team.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience; a love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and operational skills, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- The ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using approved equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
