We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a significant part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can access the merchandise they love. You’ll utilize your fandom knowledge to help train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty. Demonstrate product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture.
- Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Assist with opening and closing the store, ensuring security and operational procedures are followed.
- Operate the register, process sales, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales, including benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand store sales goals, KPIs such as UPT and ADT, and contribute to achieving them.
- Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising strategies.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
- Support store maintenance, including organizing the stockroom and keeping the store tidy.
- Contribute to developing a passionate, collaborative team.
- Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, operational skills, and a drive to develop others.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
