We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, ensuring that fellow fans can find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits and support daily operations and sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customers to return, demonstrating your product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Step in and support store operations when needed, including covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
- Assist with opening and closing the store as required.
- Operate the register, process transactions, and use your fandom expertise to promote add-on sales and benefits such as BOPIS and curbside pickup. Ensure proper register closure and communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
- Understand store sales plans, goals, and key KPIs like UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
- Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure store security.
- Support store maintenance, including organizing the stock room and keeping the store tidy.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform any other activities as assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience. A love for music and pop culture is a plus!
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operations, with a drive to develop your team.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products with store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
