We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an exceptional customer experience, ensuring fans can find their favorite merchandise. You’ll leverage your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and help meet sales targets.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty. Demonstrate product knowledge, customer service skills, and enthusiasm for pop culture.
- Step in and support store operations as needed, including covering the sales floor and assisting the management team.
- Open and close the store as required, ensuring security and readiness for daily business.
- Operate the register; process sales, promote add-on sales, and utilize benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate any register shortages or overages to the Store Manager.
- Understand and contribute to store sales plans, goals, and key performance indicators such as UPT and ADT.
- Assist with planogram updates, including store layout, wall displays, fixtures, and merchandising.
- Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
- Support store security by working with management to prevent theft and misuse of store assets.
- Help maintain organized stockrooms and a clean, welcoming store environment.
- Contribute to building a passionate, collaborative team to run the store effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your Store Leader.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- At least 1 year of retail experience, with a passion for music and pop culture.
- Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds.
