Job description

Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is a leading importer and distributor of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions. We are currently recruiting a Part-time Senior Delivery Driver with a Class 5 Driver’s License to make local deliveries for our BC division.

Position Summary:

The role involves frequent movement and lifting, operating a 5-ton truck to deliver goods to restaurants and retail stores in Vancouver Island areas, including Nanaimo and Victoria.

  • Work may include Saturday and/or Sunday shifts
  • Start time is at 4:00 am

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 5-ton straight truck following company delivery procedures and the Motor Vehicle Act.
  • Perform vehicle inspections before departures.
  • Pack and load products according to specifications.
  • Deliver orders to customers along assigned routes.
  • Unload goods inside business premises as per client requirements.
  • Use a power jack to move objects.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations and signatures from customers.
  • Check inventory against invoices with customers.
  • Review deliveries with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collect cash, cheques, or CODs when applicable.

Requirements / Must-Haves:

  • Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Relevant delivery experience.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to operate a commercial truck and lift gate.
  • Availability to work on weekends.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Conversational English skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Assets / Nice-to-Haves:

  • At least 2 years of experience operating 5-ton trucks.
  • Experience with electric power jacks.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected hourly wage: to be discussed

Note: Compensation may be influenced by experience and knowledge.

  • $500 signing bonus after probation.
  • Potential safety and performance bonuses based on job performance.
