Job Profile
Reporting to the Manager of Operations - Parks and Arenas, there is an opening for a temporary Parks Operations Technologist. This position will be responsible for the following duties :
What you will be doing
Education
Three-year college diploma plus certification in Landscape Design or Certified Engineering Technologist certificate
Landscape Design or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET)
Experience and Knowledge
We will ask you for these items if you are hired
Valid G driver's license.
Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and / or educational qualifications.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training Certificate from the Ministry of Labour
Your compensation
This position is within Grade 9 of the Inside Workers Union salary schedule with an hourly range of $43.97- $46.73. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer.
Hours of work
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the Collective Agreement, however, currently, we are 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. (35 hours per week). Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime as required.
