JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the District’s Facilities and Parks Supervisor, and with oversight by the Parks Lead Hand, this position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the maintenance, repair and construction of the District owned facilities, parks and open space systems (such as: sports fields, trails, beach accesses, and roadway landscapes).

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Three (3) years relevant experience in parks operations and/or a related field acceptable to the Employer or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • One (1) year of courses in parks maintenance related courses such as a certificate in horticulture;
  • A current valid class 5 BC Driver’s License with air endorsement; and,
  • A current Traffic Control Certification.

The hourly pay rate for this permanent full-time (8 hours per day), Monday to Friday position is $33.06-35.76 (2024 rates).
