Parks Canada Jasper National Park of Canada (Alberta)
GS-BUS-02, GS-MPS-04
Anticipatory (Summer 2025) term and seasonal appointments of various durations with a specific need for bilingual candidates in gates and campgrounds from May 2025 to September 2025.
Who can apply: Persons employed or residing in Jasper, Alberta and within a 125 kilometre radius of Jasper, Alberta who have a legal status to work in Canada. Duties
Visitor Facilities Attendant (Stream 1): Facilities Attendants play a very important role here in Jasper National Park. They are tasked with cleaning and maintaining Parks Canada Agency visitor facilities/buildings and grounds in all corners of the Park. The right people to fill these positions should work well with others, take pride in their work, and in going the extra mile to contribute to creating memorable experiences for visitors.
Visitor Services Attendant (Stream 2): Campground Attendants welcome visitors from all over the world, providing information, and education about camping in the national park. They are responsible for cleaning facilities, providing minor maintenance, and conducting facility rounds to ensure visitor compliance with park regulations.
Entry Gates: Gate Attendants welcome visitors into the park and set the tone for their visit. They provide a friendly service by collecting revenue through the sale of park passes and providing basic safety and park information.
Congestion and Compliance: Spend your day directing traffic, interacting with visitors, and educating the public on park rules.
Work environment: Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources.
Minimum Requirements:
Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EXPERIENCE (BOTH STREAMS): Experience in providing cleaning services (in facilities such as commercial or institutional environments, other facilities may be considered). Experience providing information and service to the public, including complaint resolution.
EXPERIENCE (STREAM 2 ONLY - VISITOR SERVICES ATTENDANT): Experience identifying hazards and potential risks, taking proactive steps to maintain a safe environment. Experience in handling cash, operating point of sales and performing cash out duties.
KNOWLEDGE (BOTH STREAMS): Knowledge of how to apply health and safety procedures at the work site.
ABILITIES (BOTH STREAMS):

Conditions of employment:
