Job description

The Parking Attendant role is crucial to the flow of traffic throughout our busy campus. The Parking attendant duties include the following:

  • Issue parking passes by providing high level of customer service for visitors, staff and patients within the parking department.
  • Responsible for proper function of cash register, computer and all other equipment related to business operation.
  • Accurately collect, balance and report sales following departmental procedures on a daily basis.
  • Prepares and submit daily deposits as per departmental procedure.
  • Take steps to resolve customer concerns/problems as required.
  • Post transaction reports in the database as per departmental policy.
  • Works in parking booths when the need arise.
  • Issue warning or ticket to those in violation of parking restrictions.
  • Direct traffic and work at the valet service booth when assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Have MLEO license.
  • Successful completion of secondary school required.
  • Proficiency with computer applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience interacting with patients in a health care setting required.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, sense of urgency, customer/client focused.
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lift minor parking equipment to meet the physical demands of the position (standing and walking for extended periods of time). Understand the requirements of Infection Control & Prevention; the Health & Safety Act.
