Job description

Summary of Duties:

The Parking Attendant role is crucial to the flow of traffic throughout our busy campus. The Parking Attendant duties include the following:

  1. Issue parking passes by providing a high level of customer service for visitors, staff, and patients within the parking department.
  2. Responsible for the proper function of cash register, computer, and all other equipment related to business operation.
  3. Accurately collect, balance, and report sales following departmental procedures on a daily basis.
  4. Prepare and submit daily deposits as per departmental procedure.
  5. Take steps to resolve customer concerns/problems as required.
  6. Post transaction reports in the database as per departmental policy.
  7. Work in parking booths when the need arises.
  8. Issue warnings or tickets to those in violation of parking restrictions.
  9. Direct traffic and work at the valet service booth when assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

  1. Have MLEO license.
  2. Successful completion of secondary school required.
  3. Proficiency with computer applications.
  4. Minimum of 1 year experience interacting with patients in a healthcare setting required.
  5. Ability to work with minimal supervision, sense of urgency, customer/client focused.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
  7. Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Demonstrated ability to lift minor parking equipment to meet the physical demands of the position (standing and walking for extended periods of time). Understand the requirements of Infection Control & Prevention; the Health & Safety Act.
