A child and youth mental health center in Ottawa is seeking a full-time Parent Child Educator for an 18-month contract. The successful candidate will develop and implement prevention services for families with children aged prenatal to six years. The role requires an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and experience working with families. Strong communication skills and understanding of child development are essential. The Garry Hurvitz Centre for Community Mental Health at SickKids (GH-CCMH) is a child and youth mental health center integrated with GH-CCMH is also a member of the Thriving Minds Mental Health Access Collaborative with CAMH and SickKids and a core service provider in the Toronto sector of infant, child and youth mental health services funded by the Ministry of Health. We are seeking applicants for full-time, 18-months contract Parent Child Educator position. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the development, planning, coordination, and implementation of Prevention and Early Intervention Services for parents, caregivers, and children from prenatal to six years of age. The successful candidate will be working primarily with our families within our EarlyON program providing Parent Education Groups and supporting parent child programs.
