Job Description

Title: Parcel Guard

Location: Toronto, ON

Payrate: $19.00 per hour.

Schedule: Full-time morning shift from 6am to 2pm; weekdays Monday to Friday.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking a Parcel Guard to oversee security operations at our Toronto sites. The ideal candidate is a seasoned guard with experience in handling vagrants, excellent communication skills, a willingness to work the mentioned shift, and the ability to manage the job requirements. If you have experience as a security guard, enjoy patrolling, are swift with computers, and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirements:

• One year of experience in a guard role in security.
• Open shift availability.
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient with computers, ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
• Respond to emergency situations such as fire, medical emergencies, phone threats, answer alarms, and investigate disturbances.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Complete monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
