  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Operate a two-way radio and manage fares accurately.

Location: West Kootenay Regional Transit, 1905-2067 72nd Ave, Grand Forks, BC

Casual Hours: Monday – Friday, Days

Responsibilities:
  • Safely transport passengers and provide door-to-door assistance
  • Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and securing mobility aids
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
  • Operate a two-way radio and manage fares accurately
  • Maintain a safe and harassment-free environment
  • Report incidents, vehicle defects, or safety concerns
  • Fuel, wash, and check fluid levels of the vehicle
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required by law and record minor defects
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License - minimum Class 4
  • Ability to pass criminal record check and drug & alcohol test
  • Provide a clean driver’s abstract
  • Ability to work independently and interact politely
  • Physically capable of job duties
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous taxi or shuttle driving experience
What We Offer:
  • Casual hours, Monday – Friday shifts, weekends & evenings off
  • Wage: $25.64/hour, Training Wage: $17.94/hour
