JOB CONDITIONS :

21,75 / hour : Paratransit minibus – Class 4B

• Safely driving passengers with special needs in Laval and Montréal.
• 32,63 / hour for overtime.
• Mandatory uniform provided by the employer.
• Permanent full-time OR occasional part-time.
• Schedules available daytime or evening, on weekdays or on weekends.
• Class 2 training paid by the employer.
• Operating 365 days a year, according to customers’ needs.

JOB DESCRIPTION :

We are mandated by the Société de transport de Laval (STL) to offer paratransit services to meet the public transportation needs of eligible clients. This accessible door-to-door service operates on a reservation basis.

We have minibuses adapted to the special needs of eligible clients, to ensure their transportation across Laval as well as part of the territory served by the Autorité régionale de transport métropolitain (ARTM).

Various types of transport are offered, with the driver ensuring customer comfort and safety while taking into account their limitations.

• Performing routine inspections of the vehicle and keeping it clean.
• Safely driving passengers of all ages with special needs, within the territory of Laval and Montréal.
• Drivers are expected to leave the driver’s seat to assist and secure passengers.
• A busy but fairly fixed daytime or evening schedule to meet operational demand between 6:00 am and midnight, 365 days a year.
• Being able to think on your feet with little downtime, trips are added to the on-board monitor throughout the shift, similar to a taxi.
• Not much baggage, but frequent handling of mobility aids, securement systems, and other devices.
