  • Business Law: Capital Markets & Securities, Corporate, Financial Services, Insolvency, Intellectual Property, Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Litigation: Commercial, Construction, Estates & Trusts, Family Law, Insurance Defence
  • Real Estate: Condominium Development, Commercial & Residential Transactions, Land Development, Municipal Law, Leasing
  • Tax: Charities & Not-for-Profit, Corporate Tax, Litigation, Private Client Services
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform legal and technical duties within relevant practice areas
  • Draft complex documents and correspondence related to transactions
  • Conduct, document, review, analyze, verify, monitor, summarize, and report on due diligence
  • Ensure timely filing of submissions and applications
  • Respond promptly to inquiries and requests for information
  • Participate in client interviews and communications, and assist in executing documents
  • Research and interpret legal procedures, statutes, and regulations
  • Perform other business-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Community College Certificate/Diploma or Degree in Law Clerk, Paralegal, or Urban Planning; or equivalent legal experience
  • Relevant certification or designation depending on province
  • Understanding of legal terminology, statutes, and procedures
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
